TRIP summary

Join our guided motorcycle tour from Bend, Oregon to San Francisco and back! This 10 day vacation includes 8 riding days. Upon arrival in Bend, you will meet your rental motorcycle and ensure it is set up for you. The evening begins with a welcome reception to meet the PacMoto team and your fellow riders. Bend is an outdoor lover’s paradise as well as home to over 22 breweries.

From Bend we make our way southwest to Crater Lake National Park before finishing our day in the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival of Ashland, OR. Ashland is considered one of the Best Small Arts Towns in America. Our adventure pushes us through the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests to Eureka, CA.

Northern California not only offers majestic views of the Pacific Ocean but also giant redwood groves. Our journey south now takes us down old Highway 101 through the Avenue of the Giants and through the Shrine Drive-Thru Tree. We connect with Highway 1, California’s Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and wind, wind, wind our way to the Pacific Ocean. Stunning views abound as we end our day in Mendocino.

The Golden Gate Bridge is our turnaround point. After hugging the coastline down PCH we travel over the Golden Gate Bridge, we cross over again and then stop in Sausalito for lunch before finishing the day in the Napa Valley Wine Country.

Highway 29 takes us up through Napa Valley into Calistoga and up the Calistoga Grade, then north up Historic Highway 101 back to Eureka. From Eureka we’re back on Highway 101 heading northward up the Oregon Coast to Florence. Shopping and dining in the Historic Old Town are next on the agenda!

Our final riding day continues up and over the Cascade Mountains to Bend. We will join together again for a farewell dinner.

Day 1 - arrive in bend

Schedule your flight to arrive by early afternoon. Bend is an outdoor playground so you may want to come early to enjoy the area. Your motorcycle will be waiting to meet you by 5pm at the hotel! This is the time to ensure the motorcycle is set up properly for you. You’ll get your swag bag and finalize all the rental paperwork.

The evening begins with a Welcome Reception and Dinner. You will meet your PacMoto team and your fellow riders.

Day 2 - bend to ashland

From Bend we make our way southwest to Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake was formed over 7,000 years ago when the volcanic eruption collapsed its tallest peak. The resulting lake is the deepest in the US. We finish our day in the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival of Ashland, OR. Ashland is considered one of the Best Small Arts Towns in America.

Day 3 - ashland to eureka

Our adventure pushes us through the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests toward Eureka, CA. As we approach Eureka you’ll get your first glimpses of the Pacific Ocean!

Day 4 - eureka to Fort bragg

Northern California not only offers majestic views of the Pacific Ocean but also giant redwood groves. Our adventure continues southward down old Highway 101 through the Avenue of the Giants and through the Shrine Drive-Thru Tree. The Avenue of the Giants is a world-famous 31-mile ride through the giant redwood forrest. In Legget, CA we connect with north beginning of Highway 1, California’s Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Highway 1 twists and turns as we cross the Coastal Range to the Pacific Ocean. Stunning views abound as we end our day in Mendocino.

Day 5 - fort bragg to napa

The Golden Gate Bridge is our turnaround point. After hugging the coastline down PCH we travel over the Golden Gate Bridge, we cross back over again and stop of the visitor’s center to really take in the majestic views. Our lunch stop is around the corner in Sausalito. This town is a bustling enclave packed with shops, art galleries and restaurants. The afternoon takes us to our destination in the Napa Valley Wine Country. You’ll see wine vineyards as far as you can see.

Day 6 - napa

Spend the day however you desire! Take a tour of some wineries, go shopping in downtown Napa, or just rest and relax. You could also explore the region on your motorcycle. It’s your choice on this open day.

Day 7 - napa to eureka

Highway 29 takes us up through Napa Valley into Calistoga and up the Calistoga Grade, then north up Historic Highway 101 back to Eureka.

Day 8 - eureka to florence

Back on Highway 101 we venture northward up the Oregon Coast to Florence. We’ll pass through the coastal towns of Port Orford (the ending point of the TransAmerica Trail), Bandon and Coos Bay. Our day ends in the coastal town of Florence, anchored by its Old Town neighborhood tucked under the shadow of the 1930s Siuslaw River Bridge and bookended by the national dunes and a lighthouse.

Day 9 - florence to bend

Our final riding day continues up and over the Cascade Mountains to Bend. We will join together again for a farewell dinner.

Day 10 - depart bend or keep riding!

Join us for breakfast before your departure - or extend your stay and explore Central Oregon.
